Partagas cigars Don Jaime Partagas began making cigars in 1827 but only in 1845 he registerd the brand under his last name. After his death in 1889, the business passed to Cifuentes y Cia. And in 2002 Altadis bought a controlling share in the Cuban government-owned cigar distributor, Habanos S.A. bringing in a number of significant changes.
This is one of the strongest cigars among other Cuban marks, considerably varied in sizes and strenght. It has a rich flavor with earthy notes. Because of the Partagas' strenght, this brand is not recommended for beginners.
